missing chick flick and my wish list

SO, tragic last night, could not find my copy of Pride and Prejudice! Not sure where it has gone, either I have lost it, misplaced it or lent it out to someone and it has not made it back to me (I am thinking this is what happened-so if you are reading this and you have my copy please let me know...please). I needed a good snuggle up and cry movie last night (I cry every single time I watch P&P, and it does not matter what edition it is, the newest version, the A&E version etc...I just cry and smile and love every minute!) So, it was tragic last night...so I went to the next best thing making my wish list of clothes that I "need" from the 2 new clothes catalogs I have recently gotten in the mail. Jeremiah thought I was crazy, but I was having a blast, there are so many things I should have in my closet that just are not currently there! I got this new catalog (can't for the life of me remember the name of it) that has fabulous looking clothes! Very outdoorsy, all natural fibers and well they just looked so comfy but still stylish-which means they cost an arm and leg-so I needed about half the catalog (the other half was for men!). And after my wish list was created I decided to see how much I had wished for in dollars and well what do you know it was more than a months pay...good wish list!
So then I had to start crossing out the things that I just kinda wished for and came up with a much smaller list, but still extremely ridiculous and started to chop the list down again and well after about 20 minutes of hemming-n-hawing I came back with only 3 things I really NEED. So the wish list has become a possible list and maybe just maybe I will order something. The excitement...I know...is killing me too!!

Crazy Wild Weekend

Xavier to the rescue!!! You had best watch out firefighters because Xavier is on the scene, powering out of the firehouse on his rescue machine! Xavier had a blast on Sunday afternoon cruising around the firehouse on his little firetruck scooter.

This picture cracks me up, I have a mental dialog of Xavier saying, "hey big tanker, we'll take it from here, you can stand down." He kept motoring up to the tanker to give it a big smack on the bumper and then would push off and make a big yelling noise as he was doing it. Needless to say, we have many great pictures from our afternoon at the firehouse. I don't think there was an inch of pavement or inside the firehouse that Xavier did not explore!

As many of you know, we got a ton of rain this past Saturday. Just wanted to give you an idea of what our drive way looked like. As you can imagine after looking at the pictures our driveway was about 500 feet down the road after the rain stopped and the flooding subsided. After a good bit of tractoring on Sunday our road is still a mess, but driveable! Crazy Crazy Crazy!!!

'FUN'

There is nothing better than a beautiful Sunday afternoon spent outside!!! After Xavier woke up from his nap on Sunday afternoon we hit the outdoors with much excitement, especially after such a nasty and rainy Saturday and Sunday morning!!!

Xavier and I took off down the hill to see if Grandma was about, but alas, both Grandma and Papa were not home...however, Papa did not disappoint and come driving down the drive way before we headed off to find more adventures! Xavier had a wonderful time helping my dad unload a load of manure for the flower beds, my parents keep a little yellow shovel in the farm truck just for such occasions. Xavier has a wonderful time "helping" which he says every time he takes a shovel full and dumps it off the back of the truck. After that, we went in search of some fun to 'drive'. Xavier had a hard decision, the riding mover or the tractor, of course the tractor won out and we spent a lovely 15 minutes 'driving' the tractor, Xavier even let me sit up on the wheel cover. After that wore off, it was back up the hill to our house, or so I thought, we got half way up the drive way and then Xavier had to go 'running' (which he says every time he starts to run) back down the drive way. Finally we made it back to the house, but only for a minute before we heading back out to do some more 'running' along the drive way.

This is when our weekend got really exciting, we found the mud puddles!!!!! I so wish I had taken either my camera or phone with me. Xavier started off by just throwing gravel into the puddle, then he sat down on the drive way to throw rocks into the puddle, then one leg touched the muddy water and then finally he just starting splashing through the puddle, but of course he was 'running' through the puddle and the grande finale, he sat down in the middle of the puddle and started picking up the gravel he had thrown into the puddle and putting it on his lap. We spent a good 45 minutes in the puddle. So a water logged and extremely muddy Xavier and I did some more 'running' back to the house to strip down and get clean.

Xavier had just gotten clean when Jeremiah came back into the house and they were off again...but this time it was to have 'fun'. Xavier refers to the 4-wheeler as 'FUN', he will point to it and say "fun" (please see above picture for 'FUN'). Apparently, Jeremiah and Xavier had to take a little detour during their 'fun' time to play in the sand on the drive way at the bottom of my parents drive. For whatever reason, after it rains my parents have a natural sandbox at the bottom of their drive way, this of course is one of Xavier's favorite places, ranks right up there with the puddles. So Jeremiah and Xavier had to do a little laying down in the sand and when I say laying down, that is just what I mean, Xavier likes to lay on his back and make the snow angel motion. When they finally made it back to the house, Xavier had enough sand in his hair to make me wonder if he left any on the road. Of course, he then promptly fell asleep, without a bath and let me tell you, he was on dirty little boy...I bet he had wonderful dream of playing outside!!!

At the Pump

All I can say is YUK, buying gas makes me sick! I left like digging my heart out with a plastic spoon would have been more enjoyable than watching the total go up about 4 times as fast as the gallons! Thank you Gracie-lou for the beautiful spoon analogy!!! I was having a great morning until having to fill the Silver Surfer up, Xavier only woke up once last night and stayed asleep until after I got out of the shower this morning, my outfit looks good, got to eat my oatmeal while sitting down!!! I mean wow that is a morning!...then I hit the gas pump, blah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I should have taken a picture of the total, just to remind me next week when I have to go again that I got a great deal today! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... However, had a great convo. on the way to work with MBDB, so that helped the nerves and then I saw a great car on the highway, it had a dog in the back window curled up. This was not a little doggie, but a biggish dog that took up the entire back window...but it gets better, then there were two more dogs in the bag seat sitting up, one on each side (just like kids!). Crazy, put a smile on my face!

How does your child sleep?

Mine sleeps with rain boots on! This was absolutely too much last night, I just had to take a picture!

Xavier is a big puddle stomper, so the rain boots are a must, but for sleeping I am not sure, guess he must have been dreaming about splashing through the puddles!

He couldn't go to sleep last night, or won't might be a better word until he had run around with his rain boots on, and apparently fall asleep with them on.

This wonderful pair of rain boots is the 3rd (I repeat 3rd) pair I have had to bring home...the first 2 pairs were so big it was crazy, I mean he could not walk in them, which caused major fussiness and total Xavier drama. I think the boots rank up there with nursing for him!

Funny thing about the rain boots is that he will not wear them while eating in his Lighting McQueen booster seat...strange I know, he'll wear them to bed, but not to eat at the table. He will however wear them while eating at the kitchen island thingie we have (he has a chair pushed right up to it and LOVES to eat his snacks there), but not at the table...

Cutest Stationary EVER...

So I finally ordered and got my WONDERFULLY CUTE Thirty-One stationary from my personal Thirty-One consultant (which you can have to by visiting Mary's website www.mythirtyone.com/marypark/). Mary is just fabulous and you will love working with her, she took pictures of one of the wallets for me so that I could see how much junk fits in it. Because as everyone knows I have JUNK in my wallet, when I take out my wallet my purse raises up about 3 inches and my shoulder sings a song of thanks for taking out that heavy stupid wallet...Regardless not why this post is being posted...This post is about what happened when the stationary arrived and I opened it with glee.........

so imagine Jeremiah and I are sitting on the couch after we get Xavier down and we finally get to the mail and low and behold there is a Fedex envelope in the pile from Thirty-One!!! I am so excited and can't wait to open it and show Jeremiah the lovely new stationary that I will be sending all over the place (I have been eyeing this stationary for about 6 months). So I open it and squell with glee (as I tend to do when excited) and just marvel at the cuteness of the Fishes'. So I pass it over to Jeremiah so he can share my excitement and he says in his very deadpan way-"Oh thankgoodness Xavier and I are darker, wouldn't want to be casper-y like you" and hands it back to me.

Wow, yup and that was it. I think I had a look on my face like, OMG Jeremiah is that it? I mean, yes, it it totally cool that you can have different skin tones, but that was all I got...men...

Boogies anyone?

So the cuteness that I call Xavier is officially a nose picker or as he calls it "boogies" I will ask him,

"Xavier what are you doing"

and he will respond with
"boogies" (he says this with a smile)

And then he freaks out about because he can't stand to have his hands dirty and I must quickly whip out a wipe and clean him up. This of course cracks me up, thank goodness he is not into the eating the "boogies" cause I think I might just hurl!!

I caught the above picking yesterday on our way home from a family dinner. My picture was a little late however, because he was first laying his head over on its side and picking his nose, which was really funny-obviously it was a better angle that way.

On to a more winning quality-Xavier has a wonderful time doing laundry with me. He loves to pick the clothes up and put them in the basket and finds the basket of clothes a wonderful play toy, you can put thing in it like balls and match-box cars (I have washed a few recently) and well the climbing in and out of the basket is a great aerobic activity.
