SNOWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW

Officially we love snow!  Xavier likes all the WHITE SNOW.  He kept saying how much he loves all that white snow.  His voice gets a little higher as he starts talking about it.  He kept saying things like, "I'm just running in the snow."  "I'm just sitting in the snow/standing in the snow.."  But the best of all is when he is "just chopping the snow"  He uses a great karate chop motion and says "yah"  We went all around the yard chopping the snow, "yah" "yah" "yah".  gotta love the little guy!

As many of you know, Xavier is all about digging, he has a great big dirt pile down at my parents house.  We typically hit up "dig a hole" at least once a day, good weather and bad.  The days that is rains, we dig marbles inside.  We are serious about our digging, digging snow is a new activity and we spent a good bit of time at "dig a hole" with our front end loaders to do a little snow removal.

When I dropped Xavier off at my parents this morning before I went to work, Xavier stood at the door and told Papa, "Papa, come out and dig in the WHITE SNOW"  You gotta love this little guys dedication to his digging site.

Here are two really cute pictures from our snow adventures yesterday!  Xavier stopped long enough in his chopping to take a pictures with daddy, which he then said to Jeremiah, "that was a good one."
After a fun filled afternoon of playing in the snow, digging up some snow, chopping some snow and warming up with Papa by running around the house, we got bundled back up and headed back up the hill for dinner and bath time.  As we were walking back up the hill Xavier leaned into Jeremiah and said, "I love you daddy" and gave Jeremiah a nice long hard nose and proceeded to tell Jeremiah that is is nice and warm in here!!!   We had to stop walking so that I could get in the cocoon too.  Melts the heart!

Pity Party, Table for One!

Last night as I was leaving work, I slipped and skinned my knee.  I pretty much thought I was going to pass out and all I could think was Autum, get up and make it to your car because if you pass out in the parking lot someone is going to run over you.  So I hobble over to my car and get in and look down at my knee to my horror not only did I skin my knew, but I also created a beautiful knee skinned hole in my FAVORITE black pants!  This is probably more tragic than the actual skinned knee.  That will heal, I will never be able to replace these pants.  I have tried for many years to find them again or at least find a replacement, but to no avail.
So on the way home from work as my knee is throbbing and I was ticked about my pants I started my pity party.  When I got home I cracked open a box of girl scout cookies and preceded to consume them at a rapid rate.  This made me feel a bit better and helped as I had to pick asphalt out of my knee.  Skinned knees are for the birds, they stink, your knee gets soar and it hurts to walk, thankfully the majority of my skinned knees happened when I was a little kid, I just don't remember them being so painful (granted it could be because I have passed the young person category and moved onto middle aged??).
So as I am sitting there eating my cookies I see this little bugger come to the door
He came in and sat on the couch with me and asked me if I had a boo-boo on my knee, gave me a big hug, a kiss and a hard nose (hard noses are a big deal in our family currently, this is when Xavier comes up to give you an Eskimo kiss, but opens his eyes real wide and pushes his nose on your nose hard).  How can I continue my pity party after that?  Couldn't, I just gave up feeling bad for myself.  Then Xavier pulled up his pants leg and showed me his skinned knee and told me his boo-boo hurt too.

So in love with my little guy!
