Smells like summer

There is nothing better than a beautiful Memorial Day Weekend to kick start summer! We Fishes' had a ball this weekend and did not stop for one minute!!! We played in the grass, ate Popsicles, had hot dogs and went swimming!!!

Xavier taking a little break from playing ball. After watching him run around his great-aunts back yard as I was sitting on the porch swing I looked over and told Jeremiah that we need a fenced in yard. Too bad out house is on a hill and that grass does not seem to want to grow! Oh the fun we had running around! Note to self, orange Popsicles do NOT come out of cloths. Good thing he got to wear the shirt once before operation Xavier Cloths destroyer come in full force!!! But what says summer more than drippy Popsicles!

Cooling down in the lake with Geema and Pa-pa. Xavier would scoop up a shovel full of sand and deposit it on Pa-pa's toes then Pa-pa would splash a shovel full of water on Xavier. This was so much fun we had to repeat it for about 10 minutes!

This is just sweet!

Oh the fun we will have this summer!!!

Holy Asteroid Robin...

So Xavier officially slept thru the night for the 1st time last night (yes at 23 months to the day!). He slept from 10pm to 5:30 am. And let me tell you something, it was amazing, fingers crossed it will be a trend and sleep will return to a peaceful 7-8 hours each night...oh please...

Don't want to write too much about the above, can't jinx myself...

A new favorite at bath time in the Fish household are Elmo's Fizzy Colored Bath Tabs. For those of you who do not know about these and have little ones, they are a must...at bath time we now have the conversation, "Xavier what color bath do you want tonight?" His all time favorite is the RED bath, but blue is close. Below you will notice the lovely blue water, it does prolong bath time, but at least it is a clean activity! Not sure about anyone elses' little boys, but Xavier LOVES all thing that mow, so watching Daddy weeeeeed-eat is a big deal in our house. While Daddy is outside slaving away, Xavier and I move all over the house from door to door, window to window and deck to deck to get the best watching location.

This below picture is what has my mom and Xavier's great-aunts in a tizzy about-that Xavier is going to A. climb up and over the banister upstairs and fall down to the first floor B. climb out one of the windows.

So after watching Xavier climb up on his toys, then into the window to try and watch Jeremiah mow, I too am in a tizzy...because window screens are not going to keep this boy at bay and well Jeremiah has been told sternly by me that he is no longer allowed to go up stairs or come down stairs by climbing over the banister...I feel the gray hairs coming!

And Finally, I can not wait to show this picture to girlfriends! Riding a tractor in a diaper, t-shirt, pulled up socks and light up buzz lightyear shoes! LOVE IT!

How do you Elmo?

Elmo is a major player in our house...anything can be cured by a little Elmo love, Easter baskets are Elmo, Elmo sleeps with Xavier and Elmo is said with eyebrows raised in a question whenever we need to watch a little Elmo. Last night after bath and before bed, Xavier had to do a little Elmo watching, but first he had to get his rain boots on. He would not go down stairs until his rain boots had been put on, "boots on, boots on" was the phrase of the evening. Once boots where on, Elmo watching was underway, I snapped a picture of Xavier in his Elmo watching gett-up (there had to be a few trips up and down the stairs before Elmo watching could get into full swing.)

After Elmo watching, Xavier went to sleep with his Elmo, which was next to his monkey and big stuffed ladybug which just happened to be next to his bunny and the horse lighting, who all had to be put to bed. When he woke up this morning, there was not a stuffed animal on the bed...How I love my little man!
